L’unica cosa che raccogliamo è quanti minuti hai proiettato oggi, legata all’account Google con cui accedi, e solo sul telefono che condivide. Serve a far funzionare i minuti gratuiti giornalieri. Il telefono che riceve non ci dà nulla, e non ha nemmeno bisogno di un account.
What you see on screen never reaches us. The video travels directly between your two phones: it touches no server, it is never recorded, and it stops existing when you end the session.
The only thing we collect is how many minutes you have projected today, tied to the Google account you sign in with, and only on the phone that shares. It exists to make the free daily allowance work. The receiving phone gives us nothing, and does not even need an account.

NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES è dichiarato con neverForLocation, che impedisce ad Android di ricavarne una posizione. Sulle versioni precedenti ad Android 13 il permesso di posizione era imposto dal sistema per il Wi-Fi Direct; l’abbiamo limitato a quelle versioni e non lo usiamo per sapere dove sei.Per farti scegliere quale app estendere, ScreenSpan legge sul dispositivo l’elenco delle app che hanno un’icona nel menu. Quell’elenco resta sul telefono: serve solo a disegnare la schermata di scelta, non viene trasmesso, non viene salvato e non arriva a noi in nessuna forma.
This list matters as much as the previous one.
NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES permission is declared with neverForLocation, which stops Android from deriving a location from it. On versions before Android 13 the location permission was imposed by the system for Wi-Fi Direct; we limited it to those versions and do not use it to know where you are.So you can choose which app to extend, ScreenSpan reads the list of apps that have a launcher icon, on the device. That list stays on the phone: it exists only to draw the picker, it is not transmitted, not stored, and never reaches us in any form.
Esecuzione del contratto — art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Usando ScreenSpan accetti che ti forniamo il servizio, e i minuti gratuiti giornalieri ne sono parte. Contarli è l’unico modo per erogarli: senza l’identificativo dell’account non sapremmo a chi attribuire i minuti, e senza il conteggio non potremmo distinguere chi ha ancora tempo da chi lo ha finito. Lo stesso vale per la verifica dell’abbonamento.
Perché sul server e non sul telefono. Il conteggio potrebbe stare in locale, ed è dove stava prima. Ma un conteggio locale si azzera svuotando i dati dell’app o reinstallandola, e i minuti gratuiti smetterebbero di essere giornalieri. Tenerlo sul server è ciò che rende il limite un limite — è anche la ragione per cui il dato raccolto è così poco: ci serve un numero e una data, nient’altro.
Nessuna decisione automatizzata. Non profiliamo, non prendiamo decisioni automatizzate che producano effetti giuridici, e non usiamo i tuoi dati per pubblicità.
Performance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. By using ScreenSpan you accept that we provide you the service, and the free daily minutes are part of it. Counting them is the only way to deliver them: without the account identifier we would not know whose minutes these are, and without the count we could not tell who still has time from who has run out. The same applies to verifying the subscription.
Why on the server and not on the phone. The count could live locally, and that is where it used to live. But a local count resets by clearing app data or reinstalling, and the free minutes would stop being daily. Keeping it on the server is what makes the limit a limit — and it is also why so little is collected: we need a number and a date, nothing else.
No automated decision-making. We do not profile you, we make no automated decisions producing legal effects, and we do not use your data for advertising.
Per creare un secondo schermo — non una copia del primo — ScreenSpan ha bisogno del livello di accesso che Android concede a un computer collegato. Sei tu a concederlo al tuo stesso telefono, attraverso il Debug wireless delle Opzioni sviluppatore, con un codice a sei cifre.
Quell’accesso viene usato per tre cose e nient’altro: creare il secondo display, avviarci sopra l’app che hai scelto, e recapitargli i tocchi che fai sull’altro telefono.
La chiave che autorizza tutto questo è generata sul tuo telefono e non lo lascia mai. È esclusa esplicitamente dal backup di Android, quindi non finisce nel cloud e non può passare su un altro dispositivo. Non la vediamo, non la riceviamo, e non esiste da nessuna parte se non nella memoria privata dell’app.
To create a second screen — not a copy of the first — ScreenSpan needs the level of access Android grants to a connected computer. You are the one granting it, to your own phone, through Wireless debugging in Developer options, with a six-digit code.
That access is used for three things and nothing else: creating the second display, launching your chosen app onto it, and delivering the touches you make on the other phone.
The key that authorises all this is generated on your phone and never leaves it. It is explicitly excluded from Android backup, so it does not reach the cloud and cannot move to another device. We never see it, never receive it, and it exists nowhere but in the app’s private storage.

Il database con i minuti e l’abbonamento si trova su server Google nell’Unione
Europea, regione europe-west1 (Belgio). Anche le funzioni che lo
leggono e lo scrivono girano nella stessa regione.
Firebase Authentication, che gestisce l’accesso Google, è un servizio globale di Google e può trattare l’identificativo e l’email anche fuori dallo Spazio economico europeo. Google dichiara di effettuare tali trasferimenti sulla base delle Clausole contrattuali standard approvate dalla Commissione europea.
The database holding the minutes and the subscription sits on Google servers in the
European Union, region europe-west1 (Belgium). The functions
that read and write it run in the same region.
Firebase Authentication, which handles Google sign-in, is a global Google service and may process the identifier and the email address outside the European Economic Area. Google states that such transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

Cosa non possiamo cancellare noi. La cronologia dei pagamenti resta presso Google Play, che la conserva per i propri obblighi fiscali e contabili: per quella devi rivolgerti a Google. E se hai un abbonamento attivo, cancellare i dati qui non lo disdice — va disdetto dal Play Store, altrimenti continua a rinnovarsi.
Puoi anche disinstallare l’app in qualsiasi momento: smetterà immediatamente di raccogliere qualunque cosa. Quello che è già sul server però resta finché non ci chiedi di cancellarlo.

Within 30 days we delete:
What we cannot delete. Payment history stays with Google Play, which keeps it for its own tax and accounting obligations: for that you must go to Google. And if you have an active subscription, deleting your data here does not cancel it — cancel it in the Play Store, or it keeps renewing.
You can also uninstall the app at any time: it will immediately stop collecting anything. What is already on the server, however, remains until you ask us to delete it.
